La Quinta Hills is a small gated community set on the high ground of La Quinta, in the municipality of Benahavís, just northwest of Nueva Andalucía. From its position on top of the hill you look east toward Marbella, south over Puerto Banús and the Mediterranean, and west toward Gibraltar on a clear day. It is a contained, walkable pocket rather than a sprawl, which is much of its appeal.
The community is a short walk from the La Quinta Golf clubhouse, with its bar and restaurant, so you can leave the car at home for a round or a long lunch. Puerto Banús is around ten minutes down the hill, Marbella town roughly twenty, and San Pedro de Alcántara just a few minutes away for everyday shops, the boulevard and the beach. Málaga airport is about forty-five minutes via the AP-7.
Duplex penthouses are the signature here — two-floor layouts that typically open onto a private rooftop solarium with the full sweep of the view. Around them sit large apartments and townhouses, generally two to four bedrooms, with usable areas running from roughly 110 up to 300 square metres. Expect deep terraces, private gardens to the ground-floor homes, marble in the bathrooms and fully fitted kitchens with a separate laundry. The whole urbanisation is gated, with communal gardens, more than one pool and exterior parking allotted to each home.
It tends to draw golfers who want the clubhouse on their doorstep, and families and couples who value a quiet, secure setting that is still minutes from Banús and the coast. The view-led penthouses appeal to buyers who entertain on the terrace; the townhouses, with their own gardens, suit those who want a lock-up-and-leave with outdoor space. International schooling is close — Aloha College in Nueva Andalucía, with Laude San Pedro and St George's a short drive away.
As a guide rather than a fixed quote, the apartments and townhouses here generally run in the upper-six to low-seven-figure euro band, with the duplex penthouses — more space, the rooftop and the best of the views — sitting toward the top of that range. Position within the community matters a great deal: a south or west aspect with an open outlook carries a clear premium over an inward-facing unit, and we are happy to talk you through where the value actually lies.
You will want a car here, as you would across most of the golf valley. The AP-7 toll road and the coastal A-7 are both a couple of minutes down the hill, putting Estepona, Marbella and the airport within easy reach. Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro and the surrounding Golf Valley courses — Los Naranjos, Las Brisas and Aloha among them — are all close, and the nearest beaches are around fifteen to twenty minutes away.
We are a family agency, Bianca and Omèr, and we have spent our working lives on this stretch of coast. We will show you the homes that genuinely fit what you are after, tell you plainly when something is over-priced, and point out the small things — an aspect, a noisy corner, a terrace that loses the afternoon sun — that only show up once you have walked a place a hundred times. If you are weighing up La Quinta Hills, drop us a line.
