Our founder was only eight when his life on the Costa del Sol began. Fluent in three languages, he was driven and motivated from a young age, and his professional journey started early, taking on small jobs at just 15 years old, which sparked his passion for working with people and client services.
In 2014, he moved to Ireland, where he spent five enriching years honing his skills and expanding his experience. Perhaps it was the weather that pulled him back, perhaps the lifestyle, perhaps family – or maybe it was all of the above, because when Omèr returned to his beloved home, the Costa del Sol, he knew it was where he planned to settle, to raise a family, and to build his future. This conviction has been one of the driving forces behind Costa Sunsets, a mission to help others find their perfect home here – and create their dream life.
From 2019 to January 2024, Omèr served as the director of a prestigious luxury real estate agency on the Costa del Sol, where he expanded his knowledge of the high-end property market. This invaluable experience afforded him insight and the expertise required to establish his own real estate company.
Despite his professional successes, Omèr admits that one of the most rewarding roles of his life was becoming a father. As he anticipates the arrival of his second child, he is overjoyed that his children will grow up, like he did, on the Costa del Sol, which offers an idyllic environment for raising a family.
“I truly believe that the Costa del Sol is the best place on Earth to raise a family. We have wonderful weather, and the abundant sunshine and long days encourage us to spend time outdoors, so we live an active and healthy lifestyle. The children play outside, and we enjoy quality family time, exploring the natural beauty of our surroundings. There is a vast selection of premium international private schools, ensuring our children receive a world-class education if we choose not to enroll them in the local public schools.
We plan yearly visits to the Sierra Nevada in winter so our children can learn to ski, and fantastic horseriding to enjoy at any of the clubs and stables dotted along the coast. In fact, Andalucia´s active, outdoor lifestyle affords so many sporting activities from tennis, padel, and football, to any number of watersports from kitesurfing and paddleboarding to surfing.”
Omèr´s plans for the future are to purchase an estate with a large stretch of land, where he and his family can grow their own seasonal produce, keep animals, and provide organic, hands-on experiences so that they can enjoy a natural, free, outdoor childhood.
In this fast-paced, screen-focused modern world, Omèr believes that the Costa del Sol still offers an organic, laidback way of life where Mother Nature dominates over technology, where the biggest playground is the beach, the forest, the rivers and mountains, and where children can flourish and grow in a beautiful, natural environment.
